Wolverine Power Marketing Cooperative (WPMC), one of eight members of Wolverine Power Cooperative and the only cooperative in Michigan dedicated to serving large commercial and industrial customers in the state’s electric choice market, announced that Erin Hunzeker has joined the organization as its new Chief Executive Officer. Hunzeker began his tenure earlier this month.
Hunzeker brings more than two decades of broad experience across energy markets, clean energy development, capital markets, and corporate leadership. Most recently, he served as CEO of Cainmani, an international clean energy firm. His background includes leading capital markets strategy at VECKTA, managing a major energy analytics P&L at the Depository Trust & Clearing Corporation (DTCC), and serving as a commercial lead at Mirant for a 3-GW generation fleet. He began his career as an investment banker with Salomon Brothers.
Hunzeker holds an MBA from Emory University and a Bachelor of Science in Finance from the University of South Florida. He and his wife, Donna, will be relocating from Texas and look forward to making Michigan their home.
